Short Hills & the Morris-Essex line · New Jersey

Short Hills, Summit, Livingston and the towns along the line.

Millburn, Summit, Maplewood, South Orange, Chatham, Madison, Morristown by Midtown Direct. Livingston by car. On Zoom the same day.

The Morris and Essex line runs from Hoboken straight through the towns I mean: Maplewood, South Orange, Millburn, Short Hills, Summit, Chatham, Madison, Convent Station and Morristown, with the Gladstone branch peeling off at Summit for New Providence and Berkeley Heights. Livingston has no station, so it is a short drive from Short Hills along Route 10 or South Orange Avenue. Any of them is an easy morning from my desk, and the travel is a small fixed amount quoted when we book, not a meter running.

The businesses here are not the ones the AI vendors pitch to. They are law practices, accounting and wealth-management firms, medical and dental groups around Overlook in Summit and Cooperman Barnabas in Livingston, real-estate offices, independent schools, contractors and the family companies behind the storefronts on Millburn Avenue and Springfield Avenue. Most run on a spreadsheet, a QuickBooks file and one person who knows how it all fits. That is exactly the shape of work I do best.

Practices that run on trust and paperwork

A law office, an accounting firm or a family wealth practice lives on intake forms, engagement letters, billing and a calendar nobody is allowed to break. I build the workflow that ties those together, with the client file in one place, time and billing flowing into QuickBooks, and documents generated instead of retyped. Confidentiality is the first conversation, not an afterthought: what I see in your practice stays in your practice, and I will sign your NDA before I see anything.

Medical and dental offices around Overlook and Cooperman Barnabas

The practices in Summit, Livingston and Millburn have the same problem in different wrappers: a practice-management system that does one thing well, and a dozen tasks around it done by hand. Recalls, intake, insurance follow-up, referral tracking, the sign-in sheet the auditor wants to see. I connect what can be connected and build the small, specific tool for what cannot, on infrastructure you control, so patient data never passes through a public AI service.

For the executives who live here

A good share of the people on the 7:12 to Penn Station run teams in finance, pharma and media and are being asked what their AI plan is. One-to-one sessions on Zoom, $200 for an hour, or a half day at your kitchen table before the market opens, get you from reading about it to directing it. The Bootcamp runs its in-person days in Jersey City, a direct train from Short Hills and Summit.

Three ways to start

  • Book a session. $200 for an hour on Zoom, or $550 for a half day on Zoom or on-site with travel quoted. Book here, or talk first for free.
  • Learn to do it yourself. The 13-week Bootcamp ($4,500 once or $1,650/month for three), the Unleashing AI seminar, or The Forge, which is free.
  • Get a system installed. Orchestration Setup puts a multi-agent AI stack on your own cloud from $500. Larger builds are scoped after a first session.

Questions people in Short Hills & the Morris-Essex line ask

Is travel included for Short Hills, Summit or Livingston?

It is quoted per visit, and because these towns are one train from Hoboken it is a small fixed amount, not a per-mile charge. On-site work starts at a half day. Zoom sessions have no travel at all.

Do you cover the Gladstone branch and Morristown?

Yes. New Providence, Berkeley Heights, Chatham, Madison, Convent Station and Morristown are all on the same trip. Further west is by arrangement.

Can you work with our existing QuickBooks and practice software?

Almost always. QuickBooks has a proper API and most practice-management and case-management systems have an export or an API. I have never needed to have seen a system before to connect it.
